Early in 2018, I got to opportunity to pitch a new design idea for Downtown Orlando's Wall Street Plaza Gateway. The new design would be replacing artwork installed in December of 1999. After months of working with the Downtown Development Board and the contracted vendor, we took my original design and made a few adjustments to please the Historic Preservation Board and to better fit the budget. In lieu of my original idea of lit boxed letters in front of a brick texture, we chose backlit solid letters in front of a hammered copper piece.
